How to Join a Valheim Server

Whether you're hosting your own Valheim server or joining an existing one, connecting to your server is simple and takes just a few steps. This guide will walk you through the entire process from accessing your hosted server details to joining the game and starting your Viking journey.

Step 1: Access Your Server Dashboard

Navigate to https://mintservers.com/dashboard and log into your account.

Click on your Valheim server from the server list to access the server management page.

Step 2: Open the Game Panel

Once on your server page, click the "Open Game Panel" button. This will take you to the control panel where you can manage your server settings.

Step 3: Copy Your Server IP Address

In the game panel, locate your server's IP address and port number. Copy this information as you'll need it to connect to your server.

The format will look like this: 158.62.204.17:26915

Step 4: Launch Valheim

Open Valheim game.

From the main menu, click "Start Game" to begin the connection process.

Step 5: Select Your Character

Choose the character you want to play with on the server. If this is your first time playing, you'll need to create a new character first.

Step 6: Join Game

Click "Join Game" from the top menu bar to access the server browser.

Step 7: Add Your Server

Select "Add Server" to manually add your server connection details.

Paste the IP address and port from Step 3 in the following format: :

Step 8: Connect to Your Server

After entering your server details, click "Connect" to join your Valheim server.

If your server has a password, you'll be prompted to enter it before connecting.

Troubleshooting

If you're having trouble connecting, verify these common issues:

  1. Ensure your server is running and online in the game panel
  2. Double-check the IP address and port number
  3. Confirm any server password is entered correctly
