Every Avorion server is controlled by a single settings file called server.ini. From difficulty and PvP to autosave timing and player limits, this is where you shape how your galaxy plays. This guide shows you where to find it and what the most useful settings do.
server.ini, or the server will overwrite your changes. Avorion is also strict about this file: if it contains a mistake, the game can rebuild it with default settings and a brand new seed. Download a backup copy before you make changes.
Step 1: Open server.ini
- Log into your MintServers panel and click Stop.
- Open the Files tab in the left sidebar.
- Open your galaxy folder and click
server.inito open the editor:
📁 galaxy (your main server directory)
📁 Avorion (your galaxy name)
Step 2: Edit Your Settings
Settings are grouped under headings such as [Game], [Administration] and [System]. Each line follows a simple Setting = value format. Change only the value and leave everything else as it is.

Restore your backup copy and edit it again, changing only the values. Can't find server.ini:Start the server once and let it finish loading so the galaxy files are generated, then stop it and check the Files tab again.
