RLCraft stands for Real Life Craft, and it is widely considered one of the most punishing and complex modpacks ever created for Minecraft. With thirst mechanics, temperature survival, dragons, and completely revamped combat, it offers an incredible challenge for you and your players.
Let us walk through how to easily install this massive modpack onto your MintServers host.
Step 1: Install the Modpack via the Panel
The easiest way to get RLCraft running is to use our built-in modpack manager.
- Log into your MintServers game panel and select your Minecraft server.
- Navigate to the Modpack Installer tab on the left-hand sidebar.
- Use the search bar to look for RLCraft (it is hosted via CurseForge).
- Select the latest version of the modpack and click the Install button.
- Wait a few moments for the panel to download and extract all the required mods and configuration files.
Step 2: Generate a New World
RLCraft features massive custom structures, new biomes, and unique ores. Because of this, you must generate a completely new world map for the modpack to function correctly.
Deleting your world folder is permanent. If you want to save your current vanilla progress, go to the Backups tab and create a backup before proceeding!
- Navigate to the Files tab on your panel.
- Locate your current world folder (usually just named world).
- Select the folder and delete it.
- Go to the Console tab and click Restart. The server will boot up and generate a fresh RLCraft world!
Step 3: Client-Side Installation
Because RLCraft adds hundreds of new items and mechanics, every player who wants to join your server must also have the modpack installed on their own computer.
- Download the CurseForge App on your PC.
- Open the app, select Minecraft, and search for RLCraft in the modpack browser.
- Click Install. Once it finishes downloading, click Play to launch the custom game client.
- Add your server IP to the multiplayer menu and join the game!
🛠️ Troubleshooting Crashes
Server crashing on startup: While RLCraft is an incredibly heavy modpack, you do not need to worry about managing your server RAM or memory allocation here at MintServers. If your server crashes upon startup, it is usually due to an old conflicting world file that needs to be deleted.
If your server is still refusing to load properly, just open a support ticket and our team will gladly jump in and instruct you on how to resolve the installation.
