How to Find Your Minecraft Server Seed
Method 1: Using Server Commands
The simplest way to find your Minecraft server seed is using the /seed command if you have the proper permissions:
- Join your Minecraft server
- Type
/seed
in the chat - The seed will appear in chat where you can click to copy it
Method 2: Checking Server Files
If you have access to server files, you can find the seed in:
- Open the server.properties file
- Look for the "level-seed=" setting
- The value after the equals sign is your seed
Important Notes
- You must have OP/admin permissions to use the /seed command on servers

- Default seeds are generated based on system time if none was manually set
