How To Create A Steam Game Server Login Token (GSLT) For Unturned

If you want players from around the world to find your Unturned server in the public internet multiplayer list, you must link it to a Steam account using a Game Server Login Token (GSLT). Without this token, your server will only be accessible over a local network or via direct IP connection.

Generating a token is completely free and only takes a minute. Let's get your token created and added to your panel!

Steam Account Requirements: To generate a GSLT, your Steam account must not be restricted or community banned, and you must have a registered phone number linked to your account.

Step 1: Generating the Token on Steam

First, we need to ask Steam to create a unique token specifically for your Unturned server.

  1. Navigate to the official Steam Game Server Account Management page at: https://steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservers
  2. Log into your Steam account if prompted.
  3. Scroll down to the Create a new game server account section.
  4. In the App ID field, type exactly 304930 (This is the specific ID code for Unturned).
  5. In the Memo field, type a note to help you remember what the token is for, such as MintServers Unturned. This memo is just for you and won't be seen by players.
  6. Click the Create button.
  7. Your new token will appear in the list above. Highlight the long string of text next to Login Token and copy it to your clipboard.

Step 2: Adding the Token to Your Server

Now that you have your unique token, we need to paste it into your MintServers configuration.

  1. Log into your MintServers control panel and click the Stop button. Always stop your server before making changes.
  2. On the left-hand sidebar under the Tools section, click on the Game Settings tab.
  3. Locate the box labeled GSLT.
  4. Paste the long token you copied from Steam into this text box.
  5. Head back to the Console tab and click Start.

Troubleshooting

Once your server boots up, it will use the token to authenticate with Steam. It may take a few minutes for the master server list to update and display your server to the public.

If you get an error stating your token is expired or invalid, simply go back to the Steam token management page, delete the old token, and generate a new one using the exact same App ID (304930). If you are still having trouble getting your server to show up publicly, open a support ticket and our team will be happy to take a look.
