How to Become an Admin on a Stationeers Server

Admins can run server commands from inside the game, like sending messages to everyone and managing players. Setting this up takes two parts: choosing an admin password on your MintServers panel, then adding that same password to your own copy of the game.

Step 1: Set The Admin Password On Your Server

1. Log into your MintServers panel and click the Stop button at the top right to shut down your server.
2. Click Game Settings under the Tools section in the left-hand sidebar.
3. At the top of the page, find the Admin Password field. It comes filled in with a default value, so replace it with a strong password you have not used anywhere else.
4. Save your changes, then click Start at the top right of the panel.

Step 2: Add The Password To Your Game

Now your own copy of Stationeers needs to know the same password. This is done in the setting.xml file on your computer (not on the server).

1. Close Stationeers if it is open.
2. Press Windows Key + R to open the Run menu.
3. Enter the following path and click OK:

   %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Stationeers

4. Open setting.xml in Notepad.
5. Find the line and replace it so it contains your admin password from Step 1:

YourAdminPassword

5. Save the file.

Step 3: Run Admin Commands

1. Launch Stationeers and join your server. See our Stationeers Join Server guide if you need help.
2. Press F3 to open the console.
3. Type serverrun followed by your command. Every server command needs this prefix. For example:

serverrun say Hello World
serverrun help
