How to Become an Admin on Your HumanitZ Server

HumanitZ admins can use special commands and permissions on your server. To become an admin, you first set an admin password in your MintServers panel, then enter that password in-game using a chat command.

⚠️ Important Warning: Always make sure your server is completely stopped on your MintServers panel before changing settings. Anyone who knows your admin password can become an admin, so only share it with people you trust.

Step 1: Set an Admin Password

  1. Log into your MintServers panel, open your HumanitZ server and click the Stop button.
  2. Click Game Settings in the left sidebar, under the Tools section.
  3. Find the Admin Password field at the top of the page and enter a password of your own.
  4. Save your changes.
  5. Go back to the Console tab and click Start.

Step 2: Become an Admin In-Game

Once your server is back online and you have joined it, you can claim admin access with a chat command. If you need help joining, see our HumanitZ Join Server guide.

  1. Join your HumanitZ server.
  2. Press Enter to open the chat.
  3. Type the following command, replacing YOUR_ADMIN_PASSWORD with the password you set in Step 1:
💬 In-game chat
/AdminAccess YOUR_ADMIN_PASSWORD
  1. Press Enter. If it worked, you will see the message Admin access granted! in chat.

Useful Admin Commands

Once you have admin access, you can use these commands in the same chat window. Type them exactly as shown, including the forward slash.

  • /admintag: Shows an [Admin] tag next to your name in chat. Run it again to turn it off.
  • /SaveGame: Saves the world immediately.
  • /SuperAdmin: Lets you fly around the map without being seen. Run it again to switch it off.
  • /god: Toggles god mode, which makes you immune to damage.
  • /Day and /Night: Set the time of day to 6:00 AM or midnight.
  • /FreezeTime: Stops time from passing. Run it again to resume.
  • /weather list and /season list: Show the weather and seasons you can switch to. Replace list with a name from that list to change it.
  • /Spawn item_Apple: Spawns an item. Replace Apple with another item name, for example Katana.
  • /Spawn Car_Suv: Spawns a vehicle. Replace Suv with another vehicle name.
  • /exp 500: Gives you experience points. Replace 500 with the amount you want.
  • /togglezeeks: Suspends all spawners, zombies, bandits and animals. Run it again to resume.
  • /nukezeeks 5000: Kills all zombies around you. The number is the distance in centimeters, so 5000 is a 50 meter radius.
  • /unstuck: Use this if you are unable to interact or are stuck in the world. If it does not help, try /unstuckgeo.
  • /adminw: Opens a utility window for spawning items and changing some game settings.

Many of these commands only work for admins, so make sure you have run /AdminAccess first.

Making Admins Permanent

The /AdminAccess command has to be entered again every time a player reconnects or the server restarts. If you would rather give admin to specific players automatically, you can list their IDs in a file called AdminList.txt instead.

  1. Join your server once with the player you want to make an admin.
  2. Open the Console tab and find the line that says Player Connected. The long ID inside the brackets after NetID is the player's ID. Copy it exactly as it appears, from the first number to the last character. It will look similar to 76561198000000001_+_|00000000000000000000000000000001.
  3. Click the Stop button to shut down your server.
  4. Open the Files tab and go to the HumanitZServer folder.
  5. Click New File and name it AdminList.txt. Make sure you type the .txt at the end.
  6. Paste the ID into the file. If you have more than one admin, put each ID on its own line, with no spaces and nothing else on the line.
  7. Click Save Content, then go back to the Console tab and click Start.
  8. Join the server. You should now have admin access without typing /AdminAccess.
💡 Finding IDs Later
The file PlayerIDMapped.txt in the same HumanitZServer folder lists the ID of each player who has joined next to their name, which is handy for adding admins later.

Troubleshooting

🛠️ Troubleshooting Admin Access

  • No "Admin access granted!" message: Double-check that the password matches the Admin Password in Game Settings exactly, with no extra spaces.
  • Command not recognized: Make sure you type it into the chat (press Enter first) and that it starts with a forward slash: /AdminAccess.
  • AdminList.txt is not working: Check that the file name ends in .txt and that it is inside the HumanitZServer folder. The ID must be copied exactly as shown in the console, with nothing added at the end. After fixing it, restart the server and rejoin. The console shows Player is not an admin! when you join if the ID was not found.

You now have admin access on your server! If you run into any trouble getting it to work, no worries! Just open a support ticket and our team will gladly jump in and help.
