Most of your Stardew Valley server's settings live on the Game Settings tab of your MintServers panel. Some only take effect when a brand-new farm is being created; others apply to your farm at any time. Installed mods can add their own settings too, in separate config files.

Settings That Only Apply to a Brand-New Farm
These fields only matter the moment a new farm is generated. If you're loading or importing an existing save, changing them here won't do anything, since that farm has already been created.
- Host Name - name of the automated host farmer.
- Farm Type - the map used: standard, riverland, forest, hilltop, wilderness, fourcorners, beach, or meadowlands.
- Starting Cabins - how many cabins the farm starts with (0–3). Every player needs one; more can always be built at Robin's later.
- Profit Margin - sell price percentage: 100 (normal), 75, 50, or 25 (hardest).
- Separate Wallets - on gives every player their own money instead of a shared purse.
- Pet Type, Pet Breed, Pet Name - the farm's starting pet (cat or dog).
- Monsters on Farm at Night - auto (Wilderness farm only), or force true/false.
- Remixed Bundles and Remixed Mine Rewards - randomizes Community Center bundles and mine chest drops.
- Guarantee Year 1 Completable - ensures the Community Center can be finished within the first year.
- Random Seed - sets a specific numeric world seed. Leave empty for a random one.
Settings You Can Change Anytime
These apply to your farm whenever they're changed, whether it was created here or imported.
- Farm Name - controls which save loads. An existing save with this name is loaded; otherwise a new farm is created the next time the server starts. See our Upload an Existing Save guide if you're importing one.
- Max Players - how many farmhands can connect at once. See our Players guide for more on this.
- Auto Sleep Time - the in-game time the automated host goes to bed and ends the day (
2200= 10 PM, max2600). See our Saving the Game guide for why this matters. - Festivals - has the host attend festivals so players can take part.
- Players Can Pause - lets players pause the game with the
!pausechat command. - Lock Player Chests - restricts chests so only their owner can open them.
Mod Configuration Files
Beyond the Game Settings tab, many installed mods keep their own settings in a config file inside their own folder. Some of these files don't appear until the server has been started at least once, since that's when the mod generates its defaults.

Open the relevant config file from the Files tab, edit it directly, and restart your server for the change to take effect. Our Saving the Game guide covers a good example - the FarmCreator mod's StopEndsDay setting.
Not sure what a particular mod's config option does? No worries! Just open a support ticket and our team will be happy to walk you through it.
