If you and your friends have been playing Satisfactory in co-op, one of you hosting from your own PC, moving that world to a MintServers dedicated server is one of the most common requests we get. The good news is you don't need any file transfer tools, it's handled entirely through the in-game Server Manager. This guide covers finding your save, uploading it, and what changes about who's in charge once it's on a dedicated server.
Step 1: Find Your Local Save File
Your existing save lives on whichever PC was hosting the co-op session (or on your own PC if you were playing solo).
Save File Location (Windows)
%LocalAppData%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames\, inside a subfolder named after your Steam or Epic ID. Each .sav file inside is a separate save.
Step 2: Upload It Through Manage Saves
- Launch Satisfactory and go to Server Manager on the main menu.
- Select your MintServers server and click the Manage Saves tab.
- Click the Upload Save sub-tab.
- Select the local save you want to upload, then click Upload.
- Once the upload finishes, click the Load Save sub-tab.
- Select the save you just uploaded and click Load.
About Session Ownership
Whoever hosted the co-op session before doesn't carry any special status over to the dedicated server. Satisfactory saves don't store per-player admin permissions, only the world itself. On a dedicated server, admin access is controlled entirely by the Admin Password set when the server was claimed, so whoever holds that password can manage settings, load saves, and access the console, regardless of who hosted the original session.
If your group wants to hand off admin duties to someone else, that's just a matter of sharing (or changing) the Admin Password rather than anything tied to the save file itself.
If you have more than one save you want available, you can upload each one separately, they'll all show up as their own session under Load Save, and you can switch between them anytime. If your upload doesn't seem to be working or your world loads in looking wrong, no worries! Just open a support ticket and our team will be happy to help.
