Hitting the open road is always better with friends. Joining your Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator dedicated server convoy is a simple process, but it requires grabbing a quick session ID from your control panel.
Let us get your convoy rolling and your cargo delivered on time!
Step 1: Set Your Steam Auth Token (Optional but Recommended)
While this step is optional, we highly recommend it. Setting a Steam Auth Token ensures your server's Session Search ID remains the exact same every time your server restarts.
- Sign in to your Steam account, then go to the Steam Game Server Account Management page:
https://steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservers - Create a new token. Use the App ID
227300for ETS2, or270880for ATS. - Copy the generated token.
- Log into your MintServers panel, navigate to your Game Settings tab, and paste the token into the designated field.
Step 2: Find Your Session ID
To join the server, you need to know exactly what to search for in the convoy browser.
- Start your server on the MintServers panel.
- Navigate to the Console tab.
- Look through the startup logs to find the line that says "Session search id".
- Copy only the first part of that number sequence, stopping right before the slash (/).
If you prefer to search for your server by its name instead of the Session ID, you must configure your Query Port. Go to the Network tab on your panel, allocate another port, and set that new port number into the Query Port field in your Game Settings!
Step 3: Join the Convoy In-Game
With your ID copied, you are ready to hit the road.
- Launch ETS2 or ATS and load into your career profile.
- Open the Convoys menu from the main interface.
- Accept the convoy rules prompt.
- Paste the Session Search ID (or your Server Name, if you configured the Query Port) into the search field.
- Select your server from the list and join the session!
If you or your friends have any trouble finding the session ID in the console or getting the server to show up in the browser, no worries! Just open a support ticket and our team will gladly jump in and help get your trucks on the road together.
