This is what you do if you need to install mods to your Vintage Story server. You can install mods after downloading them from the official Vintage Story website.

Some mods rely on other mods (dependencies) to work. Always check the mod's documentation first and install any dependencies it lists, otherwise the mod may fail to load.

Installing Mods
Download your mods from the official Vintage Story website first.
- Log in to your MintServers panel and click the Stop button to safely shut down your server.
- In the left-hand sidebar, go to the Files tab to open your File Manager.
- Navigate to the
datafolder, and then into theModsfolder. If it does not exist, create a new folder named exactlyMods. - Upload your downloaded
.zipmod files into this folder. - Go back to your Console and Start your server.

Configuring Mods
While these steps may vary, common mod configuration follows this process. Ensure to always follow the mod author's documentation.
- Log in to your MintServers panel and click the Stop button.
- In the sidebar, go to the Files tab.
- Navigate to the
datafolder, then into theModConfigfolder. - Click to edit the
.jsonconfiguration file of your desired mod, make your changes, and click Save. - Start your server.
