Your Empyrion: Galactic Survival server has its own set of options for things like the server name, password, player limit, game mode and Easy Anti-Cheat. You can change all of them from the Game Settings tab on your MintServers panel, with no file editing needed.
Step 1: Open The Game Settings
- Log into your MintServers panel and click the Stop button.
- Under Tools in the left-hand sidebar, click Game Settings.
Step 2: Change Your Settings
Here is what each option does.
Server Settings
- Server Name: The name shown in the in-game server list. Players type this into the Filter field to find you.
- Server Description: Text shown in the server details. It can contain
boldtext or a link written aslink. - Max Players: How many players can be online at the same time.
- Server Password: Players need this to join. Leave it empty if you do not want a password.
- Public: Turn this on to list your server in the server browser. Turn it off to hide it, and players will need your IP and port to connect.
- EAC Active: Turns Easy Anti-Cheat on or off. Players must launch the game with the same EAC setting as the server.
Game Settings
- Game Mode: Choose between Survival and Creative.
- Seed: Decides how the world is generated. The same seed always gives you the same world.
- Save Name: The name of your save game. Each save has its own name, so change this to start a fresh world.
- Custom Scenario: The name of the scenario folder to run from
Content\Scenarios. The default isDefault Multiplayer. See our Custom Scenarios guide for Empyrion before changing it.
Blueprint Settings
- Allowed Blueprints: Choose None to disable the blueprint system completely, StockOnly to allow only stock blueprints, or All to allow every type of blueprint.
- Max Allowed Size Class: Limits how large the blueprints players can produce or spawn are. 1 allows only small blueprints, 10 allows very large blueprints, 50 allows gigantic blueprints and 0 means no limit. Very large blueprints can have a strong impact on server performance.
Empyrion does not have one global PvP or PvE switch. Each planet and orbit has its own setting, which is controlled by the scenario you are running.
Options You Can Leave Alone
The defaults for Server Heartbeat, Timeout Booting PFServer, Telnet Password and the internal console connection port are fine for almost everyone. Steam Beta ID should stay on public (default) unless you specifically want to run a beta branch.
Step 3: Save And Start
- Save your changes.
- Go back to the Console tab and click Start.
Once the server is online, you can find it in the game's Multiplayer server list. See our Join Server guide for Empyrion if you need a hand connecting.
🛠️ Troubleshooting Configuration Issues
