Smalland saves each world as a single .wld file, which makes it easy to move a world you have already been playing onto your server. This guide shows you where to find your world file and how to upload it.
⚠️ Important Warning:
Uploading a world can overwrite progress already on the server. Always make sure your server is completely stopped before uploading files, and download a copy of any world you want to keep first.
Step 1: Find Your Local World File
- On your computer, press
Windows Key + R. - Paste in the following path and press Enter:
- Each world you have played is stored here as a
.wldfile. Find the one you want to move and copy it somewhere easy to reach, like your desktop.
Step 2: Upload It To Your Server

If your world file is too large to upload through the browser, you can upload it over SFTP instead. See our guide on how to connect with SFTP.
Step 3: Set The World Name
- Click the
Game Settingstab under the Tools section of the left-hand sidebar. - Set
World Nameto the exact name of your file, without the.wldat the end. For example,YourWorldName.wldwould be entered asYourWorldName. - Save your changes and click
