This guide will walk you through the entire process, from locating your world to configuring your server to use it.

You will need to know how to connect to your server with FTP. If you're unsure, please see our guide on How to Connect to Your Server via FTP first.
Important Note About File Sizes
Before uploading your world, please note:
- Files under 100MB can be uploaded directly through the game panel
- For worlds larger than 100MB, you must use FTP to ensure reliable transfer
Locate Your World File
First, you need to locate your world folder. The location depends on whether you're using vanilla Minecraft or a modpack:
For Vanilla Minecraft:
- Open your Minecraft directory (On Windows, press Win+R and type
%appdata%\.minecraft\saves
) - Find the folder with your world's name
For CurseForge Modpacks:
- Open CurseForge
- Find your modpack in "My Modpacks"
- Click the three dots (⋮) next to the modpack
- Select "Open Folder"
- Navigate to the "saves" folder to find your world
Upload the World via Game Panel
For worlds under 100MB, you can use our convenient Game Panel:
- Log into your Game Panel
- Navigate to the "File Manager" panel
- Click the "Upload" button or drag your world folder from your computer directly
- Select your world folder from your computer
- Wait for the upload to complete
Upload the World via FTP
Using FTP is the most reliable way to upload your world, especially for larger worlds:
- Connect to your server using your FTP client
- Navigate to your server's root directory
- Drag your entire world folder from your computer directly to the server
- Wait for all files to upload (this may take some time for larger worlds)
Configure the Server to Use the World
After the upload is complete, tell the server to use your new world:
- In the game panel, navigate to "Server Properties"
- Find the
level-name
property - Change the value to the exact name of your world folder (For example:
level-name=MyEpicWorld
) - Save your changes
- Restart your server

By following these steps, you can bring any world you want to your MintServers server.
