RimWorld Together is a multiplayer mod that allows you to experience the colony simulation survival game with friends in real-time. Before connecting to your hosted server, you must install the RimWorld Together mod on your local game client.

Step 1: Installing RimWorld Together (Steam)
Before launching the game, you need to ensure the correct modifications are installed and loaded.
- Subscribe to RimWorld Together on the Steam Workshop.
- When prompted, click Subscribe to All to include the Harmony prerequisite.
- Launch RimWorld and select Mods from the main menu.
- Drag and drop Harmony and RimWorld Together to the Enabled section.
- Click Auto-sort mods to ensure the correct load order.
- Choose Save and apply changes on the lower right.
- Click OK to restart the game and apply the mods.
Step 2: Access Your Server Details
Now you will need to grab your unique server address from your control panel to connect.
- Navigate to the MintServers Dashboard at
https://mintservers.com/dashboardand log into your account. - Click on your RimWorld Together server from the list and select Open Game Panel.
- Take note of the IP address and Port from your server panel. The format will look something like this:
158.62.204.17:25555
Step 3: Connect to Your Server
- Launch RimWorld with the RimWorld Together mod fully enabled.
- From the main menu, select Play Together to access the multiplayer options.
- Enter a username for your multiplayer session and hit Confirm.
- Input the IP address and Port from Step 2 into their respective fields.
- Hit Confirm. You will now connect to your RimWorld Together server and can begin your cooperative colony experience!
🛠️ Troubleshooting Connection Issues
- Server Offline: Ensure your server is actually running and shows as "Online" in the MintServers game panel before trying to connect.
- Mod Installation: Verify that the RimWorld Together mod and Harmony are properly installed and enabled in your local game. Check that your mod load order is correct, with Harmony always loaded before RimWorld Together.
- Typo in Address: Double-check the IP address and port number to make sure no extra spaces were added when typing them in.
- Version Mismatch: Make sure all players have the exact same version of RimWorld and the RimWorld Together mod installed as the server.
