Raids are timed events where a wave of Raiders attacks your settlement, and how often they show up is entirely up to you. Whether you want constant chaos or a peaceful building experience, Necesse gives you four raid frequency options to choose from.
Raid Frequency Options
By default, raids can occur roughly every 1.5 to 2.5 hours, and that cooldown grows by 30 minutes after each raid, up to a cap of 5 hours. The raidFrequency setting adjusts that base cooldown:
Often
Cooldown reduced to 50% of the default, meaning raids happen roughly twice as often.
Occasionally (Default)
The standard 100% cooldown, raids at the normal pace.
Rarely
Cooldown increased to 400% of the default, so raids are much less frequent.
Never
Disables raids entirely.
Method 1: Change It Live With a Command
The quickest way, no restart needed. Requires Admin permissions or higher.
- Connect to your server, or use the Console tab on your MintServers panel.
- Run
/raidsin chat (orraidsin console), replacingwithoften, occasionally, rarely, ornever.
Method 2: Edit worldSettings.cfg
Prefer to set it permanently in the file itself, or the server's offline? This works too.
- Stop your server on the MintServers panel.
- Open the Files tab and navigate to your world's save folder.
- Open
worldSettings.cfgand find theraidFrequencyline. - Set it to one of the values below, save, and Start your server.

worldSettings.cfg are written in uppercase (OFTEN, OCCASIONALLY, RARELY, NEVER), while chat and console commands use lowercase.
Both methods reach the same setting, so use whichever fits the moment: the command for a quick change on a live server, or the file for setting it up before your world even starts. If raids still aren't behaving the way you'd expect, no worries! Just open a support ticket and our team will gladly take a look.
