Return to Moria has several difficulty presets, plus a custom option that lets you tune individual parts of the game, from enemy damage to how often orcs attack your base. This guide shows you how to change them on your server.
MoriaServerConfig.ini. Changes only take effect when the file is edited while the server is not running.

Your previous world is not deleted. To go back to it, set Name back to the old name.
Step 2: Custom Difficulty
To fine-tune your world, set Difficulty.Preset=custom and then adjust the settings below. Each one is a line in the same [World.Create] section.
Difficulty.Custom.CombatDifficulty- Enemy damage and health. Values:verylow,low,default,high,veryhigh.Difficulty.Custom.EnemyAggression- How often enemies attack. Values:low,default,high,veryhigh.Difficulty.Custom.SurvivalDifficulty- Hunger, stamina and despair. Values:verylow,low,default,high.Difficulty.Custom.MiningDrops- How much ore you get per vein. Just like presets, custom settings are applied when a world is created. Change the world Name under [World] so your server generates a new world with the new values.
Changing Difficulty With Console Commands
You can also change difficulty while the server is running by typing commands into the Console tab. For example, to switch to custom difficulty and then raise combat difficulty:
You can also use difficulty followed by a preset name, such as difficulty hard. Console changes may not fully take effect on an existing world, so for the most reliable result, create a new world using the steps above.
Before experimenting with difficulty, take a backup of your server. See How to Set Up Automated Backups for a step-by-step guide.
