How to Install Mods to Your MORDHAU Server

MORDHAU distributes server mods through Mod.io. Rather than subscribing to mods through an account, you simply list each mod's numeric ID in your server's Game.ini file, and the server downloads and installs them automatically on startup.

⚠️ Important Warning: Always make sure your server is completely stopped on your MintServers panel before editing Game.ini. Editing the file while the server is running can cause mods to fail to load or corrupt your other settings.

Step 1: Finding A Mod's Resource ID

Browse to mordhau.mod.io and find the mod you want to install.
On the mod's page, note its Resource ID (also just called the Mod ID). This is the numeric value you'll use in Game.ini.

Step 2: Adding The Mod To Game.ini

Log into your MintServers panel and click Stop to safely shut down your server.
Navigate to the Files tab and open Game.ini.
Under the [/Script/Mordhau.MordhauGameSession] heading, add one Mods= line per mod:

📋 Note: Each mod needs its own Mods= line. Don't separate multiple IDs with commas or spaces on one line, MORDHAU will ignore entries formatted that way.

Step 3: Starting Your Server

Save the file and Start your server from the Console tab. On first boot after adding mods, your server needs extra time to download and install each one, keep an eye on the console for progress. Players connecting to your server will be prompted to download the same mods automatically.

Troubleshooting

Mod won't download: Double-check the Resource ID is correct, that it's under the [/Script/Mordhau.MordhauGameSession] heading, and that you fully restarted the server after saving.
Server fails to start after adding mods: One of the mods may be incompatible with another, or with the current game version. Try removing mods one at a time to isolate the problem.
Players can't join after adding mods: They may still be downloading the mods on their end, or have a different mod list than the server. Make sure everyone is running the exact same set of mods.

Keep in mind that mods add extra load on top of your regular player count, so a heavily modded server may need more resources than a vanilla one.
