Map rotation controls which maps show up in the in-game map vote at the end of each match. Setting it up is quick, but MORDHAU uses internal map names that don't always match what you see on screen, so this guide covers both editing the list and finding the correct names.
Step 1: Editing The Map Rotation
- Log into your MintServers panel and click Stop to safely shut down your server.
- Navigate to the Files tab and open
Game.ini. - Under the
[/Script/Mordhau.MordhauGameMode]heading, add oneMapRotation=line per map you want in rotation:
- Save the file and Start your server. Only the maps listed here will appear in the end-of-match vote.
Step 2: Finding The Correct Map Names
Each official map has its own internal name, and it needs to be entered exactly, capitalization included. These names are generally prefixed by game mode, for example:
FFA_andTDM_for Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch mapsFL_for Frontline mapsINV_for Invasion mapsHRD_for Horde maps, andDIH_for Demon Horde mapsDU_for Duel maps
Since the full list is long and gets updated as new maps are added, we recommend checking the Server Map Names page on the Mordhau Wiki for the complete, current list before building your rotation.
Once your rotation is set and your server has restarted, the new maps should appear the next time voting comes up. If a map isn't showing up or your server fails to load a map, double-check the name and capitalization against the wiki list. If you're still stuck, no worries! Just open a support ticket and our team will gladly take a look.
